With the support of our therapists, therapy assistants, preschool teachers and the staff of the JMCC, Kalea has gone through the stages of rolling, crawling, walking on her knees and being able to walk with assistance or with a walker. Within the past month, Kalea has moved on from using a walker to using a walking stick. While in preschool, Kalea receives additional therapy and has learned to socialize with other children, other than her sisters, while being in a classroom environment. The recommendations that are given by her therapists are followed through by her teachers and their support team, which in turn has given Kalea more confidence, the drive to use her right hand more spontaneously, and the ability to take steps on her own. JMCC has become part of our everyday lives, not only have they become part of our support team for Kalea, but they've also become part of our family.
