The mission of the Assistive Devices Department is to support individuals with disabilities and their families in their efforts to enhance quality of life, promote function and achieve their goals through the use of adaptive techniques and technology.
Individuals who require or would benefit from specialized seating or mobility devices as a means to help improve comfort, posture, and their ability to perform daily activities may wish to consider our Seating and Mobility Clinic.
Augmentative Communication involves the use of techniques such as signs, gestures, or pictures and technology, such as voice output devices (talkers) or computers to help clients to communicate more effectively.
