Opportunities to develop full potential

We believe that our services and programs can and will make a difference in the quality of life of our clients and their families. We also believe that the children served by the John McGivney Children's Centre will have the opportunitiy to develop to their full potential.

Our services and programs are accessed by a medical referral to our intake coordinator, by interdepartmental referral, through the School Health Support Services program (through the Community Care Access Centre), or through our other contracted services. Call us for more information if you are seeking a referral to JMCC for your child. We offer supportive and educational services and programs as well to family members, caregivers, and education personnel.

A range of therapy services and programs are available to children attending the preschool or the school at the John McGivney Children's Centre and as an outpatient service to other children in the Windsor/Essex County community. Many of our children are served through the CCAC School Health Support Services and CCAC Pediatric Services at Home programs.

Implementation of our services and programs involves a multi-disciplinary approach that complements the broader rehabilitation plan as well as the lifestyle of the child and the child's family. The plan will also reflect the child's development and interests. Developing this approach for service includes consultation with the child's family and/or caregivers and educators in order to build the necessary supports that will provide a continuum of services in all aspects of the child's life, at home, and in the community.

We also provide medical clinics for additional medical support for your child, and to assist the multi-disciplinary team in determining rehabilitation goals, as well as appropriate services and programs.
