ABA SERVICES
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)-based services and supports for children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders is a joint partnership between Thames Valley Children’s Centre (TVCC) and John McGivney Children’s Centre (JMCC).  Providing a collaborative process to support children and youth with a confirmed ASD diagnosis, by offering consultation and training for parents/care givers and community providers.  This service will focus on one priority goal in one of four areas of development: communication, social/interpersonal, daily living and behaviour management/emotional regulation using ABA strategies.

Whether you are a parent/caregiver of a child or youth with ASD, or a community member or service provider wanting to learn more about working and playing with this unique population; you can participate in ABA-based services and supports.

IBI SERVICES
Autism Intervention Program, South West Region
 
In partnership with Thames Valley Children's Centre in London, the Autism Intervention Program provides a variety of support to children who have been diagnosed with Autism and to their families.

What is the Autism Intervention Program?
This program provides intensive behavioural intervention (IBI) to children from birth to 18 years who have been diagnosed with autism or a pervasive developmental disorder that would be considered toward the severe end of the autism spectrum. In partnership with the Thames Valley Children's Centre in London, this centre performs the services in the child's home, community, preschool, or school.

Through education and support, we work directly with families and caregivers to instruct parents to learn how to work with their child to help the child learn to play, communicate, and participate within their community.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Birth to 18 years of age
  • The child has been diagnosed with autism or a pervasive developmental disorder
  • The child lives in the Windsor-Essex community
