Recreation Therapy at JMCC provides a wide range of dynamic programs to meet each child's individual level of ability. Emphasis of the program is to provide a variety of activities to develop recreation and leisure skills in a fun non-competitive social environment with peers. Programs and services include recreation groups for JMCC school, and preschool students, after-hour pre-teen and teen groups, summer day camps and community liaison with local clubs and recreation programs.

Priority will be given to qualified candidates who possess knowledge of Canada's two official languages. We thank all candidates who apply, however only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.

The Recreation Therapy program encourages active participation to the individual's optimum ability. A limited supply of specialized recreation equipment is available for loan on a short-term basis.
 
Families or clients of JMCC are welcome to make a referral for recreation services. A convenient meeting time will be arranged to determine availability of programs to meet each child's individual need.
