Services
The John McGivney Children's Centre (JMCC) provides rehabilitative services to the Windsor and Essex County community, enriching the lives of children and youth with special needs by helping them reach their full potential. Our therapy staff includes health care professionals and support staff who work closely with the child and their family to provide assessment and treatment to meet their individual goals. Depending on need, therapy services are offered in the Centre, in community schools, in our JMCC School, in the home, at child care centres, during recreational programs and other community programs.

Centre-based Services:
Centre-based services at JMCC include physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language services for children and youth who experience difficulty with everyday activities like crawling and walking, feeding, hand function and communication as well as those with developmental disabilities, orthopedic impairments, and complex chronic illnesses. Depending on the need, children or youth can receive either a single service at JMCC or they may be enrolled in multiple services. Children receiving single or multiple therapy services, and their families can also access social work and behaviour consultation support.

In partnership with Thames Valley Children’s Centre (TVCC), JMCC staff offer services through the Ontario Autism Program. For more information about these services, please visit www.tvcc.on.ca or contact TVCC’s Intake Department at 1-866-590-8822 and press 1.
