91,569 Reasons to Smile!Tuesday, October 11, 2016
This year's Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign in Windsor/Essex brought in an amazing $91,569 for the John McGivney Children's Centre (JMCC) - up from last year’s total of $75,000 in the area! We are so grateful for the tremendous support!
The funds raised by this campaign will enable us to continue our Family Engagement Project - striving to deliver even better, family-centred care and services to our clients and their families. We understand that each family we serve is unique. By engaging our families in new ways we hope to develop a further understanding of their unique needs and strive to meet them in the best ways possible!
JMCC provides specialized rehabilitation, education, child care and support services to the Windsor and Essex County community, enriching the lives of children and youth with special needs by helping them reach their full potential. In 2015-2016, more than 2,800 individuals received service from one or more of JMCC's programs.
To our local Tim Hortons owners and staff, the Windsor-Essex Community, our staff, our volunteers and our families: Thank you for your support throughout the campaign and always! We are so proud and so thankful to be part of the Windsor-Essex Community!

Thank you to Holy Names High School Students and Staff!Tuesday, June 21, 2016
On Tuesday, June 14, 2016 hundreds of students and staff from Holy Names High School (Hommel’s Hike 4 Kids) hiked to the John McGivney Children’s Centre and raised $3,444 in support of our Child Care program! The program offers a full ‘inclusive’ child care environment which requires additional supports above a typical daycare that are not fully funded. The money will be used to support growing demands for the program and include creative supplies, resource materials, toys for children with special needs, and allow us to purchase classroom furniture for the younger children in the program (we now accept children at 14 months). Thank you to all the students and staff for their ongoing support of our Centre and the children and families we serve!
