The County of Essex is to be recognized for their 10 year outstanding pledge in the amount of $2 million, spearheaded by Warden of Essex County – Nelson Santos and the councilors: Wayne Hurst, Robert Bailey, Ron McDermott, Richard Meloche, Katherine Gunning, Tom Bain, Robert Sylvester, Gary Baxter, Bill Varga, John Adams and Robert Schmidt.
This special contribution will go a very long way towards our building project which provides the necessary services to children with specials needs in Windsor/Essex County. A very big heart felt Thank You!
Thank you to the Windsor Club for choosing the John McGivney Children’s Centre to receive the proceeds of their 2010, 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Over $10,000 was raised.

Appreciation is extended to the International Order of the Alhambra, Garcia Caravan 230 for their interest in the Centre that resulted in a tour on February 24th, 2010 and for their generosity in support of the children.

The Annual Harrow Fair Pie Auction was another phenomenal success, having raised $7,130! Special thanks to Brad and Joanne Stannard for organizing this fantastic event, and to all of those who supported the Centre.

The Kingsville Comets Junior “C” Hockey Team has selected the John McGivney Children’s Centre as their charity of choice for the 2007-08 hockey season. The team purchased a therapeutic tricycle for the physiotherapy department and has announced that $2.00 will be donated to the Centre for each goal scored through their new “Goals for Kids” campaign. |
